Paul Ladnier, Professor Emeritus, University of North Florida, Jacksonville, Florida, taught courses in figure drawing and painting, abstract and plein air painting for more than thirty years.
He has had many one-artist exhibitions, participated in numerous group shows, conducted figure painting/drawing and plein air painting workshops in Italy and in the southeast. He is a regular invited artist to plein air competitions and the prestigious, yearly, Publisher’s invitational, “Paint the Adirondacks,” hosted by the publisher of Plein Air Magazine, Eric Rhodes.
His works have been exhibited and featured in exhibitions in the Lufrano gallery, University of North Florida and MOCA, Jacksonville, Fl. In 2014, he had a one artist exhibition at the Thrasher Horne Gallery, St. John’s River Community College, Orange Park Florida.
He is one of the featured artists at the annual Tarpon Springs, Florida Paintout Invitational, Jacksonville Arboretum Paintout; Painters on Aviles Invitational, St Augustine, Florida. Awarded the Judge Choice award, 2010 Forgotten Coast Quick Draw competition. In March of 2015 his landscapes were featured in an exhibition at the prestigious, Ponte Vedra Cultural Center, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
He is most recently an invited artist in the “Face Off” exhibition in the Haskell Gallery, Jacksonville International Airport, and a one man show at the JCA, Jacksonville is scheduled for 2016. He has numerous portrait commissions and received top awards in plein air and figure painting competitions.
