CoRK EAST, STUDIO 3
Madeleine Peck-Wagner (United States, 1977), received her BFA from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts and anticipates the completion of her MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design in late 2014.
She has exhibited her work in Miami, Los Angeles, Asheville, and Orlando. She has been a guest curator at the Museum of Modern Art, Jacksonville, a guest lecturer at the Woman’s Center of Jacksonville, and an artist in residence at UF Health, a trauma one hospital in the urban center of Jacksonville.
Engaging in a drawing practice that is edging towards sculpture, Peck-Wagner’s works are an attempt to reconcile fixed notions of beauty with that which is imperfect and flawed.
