Cork Arts District is over 80,000 square feet of warehouse space centered around artist studios and galleries. Conceived by developer Mac Easton and artist Dolf James, CoRK (Corner of Rosselle & King) is located at 2689 Rosselle Street in Jacksonville, Florida. Visual artist Crystal Floyd took on the role of Studio Director in 2017, after serving as volunteer event coordinator since 2012.
Our mission at CoRK is to support artists in the community by offering artist workspaces in an environment that is conducive to creativity and collaboration. The artists who have studios here cover a vast range of disciplines, most are professionals in their fields and among the highest caliber in the region.
Since 2011, CoRK has grown from one building to three and is now home to close to 70 artists and related businesses. As development continues, tentative plans include more artist studios, galleries and a space dedicated towards workshops and education. All sponsorship funds and donations to CoRK go straight toward programming and resources for our artists and the surrounding community. Our facility is adaptable, providing gallery areas for exhibition and flex space for artists to have the ability to execute large projects. We would like to focus on developing programming for CoRK that will enable more connections between the artists and the public and give them the opportunity to teach classes and workshops to foster growth in the area.
We are not open to the public on a daily basis. Access can be gained during publicly advertised events or by appointment. Our annual Open Studios is traditionally held the weekend before Thanksgiving! Contact information & websites for each artist can be found in the links on our main page.
