Jim Gold has studied art formally or informally throughout most of his adult life. He is currently focused on plein air and figurative painting.

Jim regularly visits art museum shows and art fairs; and he is active in the Art League of Jacksonville. Other memberships include: Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art (Artist Membership), Cummer Museum, etc.
