Olivia Carr was born in St. Augustine, Florida in 1985. She studied at the Jewelry Design Institute where she learned the fundamental techniques of design and jewelry fabrication, including silversmithing and casting.

Carr has been creating jewelry for the last 12 years and has received a degree in sculpture from the University of North Florida. She maintains a studio in Jacksonville, FL at Cork Arts District in the Riverside neighborhood. In her work, she explores the relationship between fine art and craft, particularly interested in the areas where the two disciplines merge and where they divide.

Carr finds great inspiration in the organic patterns and repetitions found in the plant and animal kingdoms.
